Add Us On Google Add as a preferred source on Google Two people were taken to the hospital this afternoon after two cars collided on Washington Boulevard in Belpre. This one happened shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday near the Post Office. Belpre Police say Curtis Reck was headed east in a Jeep Cherokee in the the outside lane. They say the crash happened when a Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by George Whitehead Jr. attempted to turn left from the westbound lane into the Post Office parking lot. Police say Whitehead and a passenger were taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital's Belpre campus by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. Police cited Whitehead for failure to yield.
