Add Us On Google Add as a preferred source on Google Two Marietta residents are in the Washington County Jail today accused of trafficking drugs within 1,000 feet of a school. Natalie Ann Benton, 31, and Morgan B. Wynn, 24, were arrested Thursday by officers with the Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force and the Marietta Police Department. Benton was arrested at her residence on North Hart Street after officers went there to execute a search warrant. Authorities found .52 grams of heroin, .25 grams of methamphetamine, and other items consistent with the trafficking and use of drugs inside the residence. She is charged with a third-degree felony count of trafficking of a schedule two drug within 1000 feet of a school and a fourth-degree felony count of trafficking of heroin a schedule I drug. During their investigation, authorities arrested Wynn on a warrant for fleeing and eluding after they saw him park a vehicle outside a nearby Hart Street residence. A search of his car turned up 19.25 grams of meth, $307 in cash, a drug ledger, digital scales and a loaded Colt Mustang handgun on the passenger seat. He was charged was charged with a first-degree felony trafficking in meth within 1000 feet of a school and improper transportation of a firearm in a vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. Both appeared in Marietta Municipal Court and had preliminary hearings scheduled for Feb. 1. Wynn’s bond was set at $100,000 and Benton’s at $15,000.
